This morning was Shumate Sunday with my newly restored Shumate.
    Razor--Shumate 4/8
Hone--Bevel set with Hard Arkansas. Finish with my coticule.
Strop--My new SRD Premium 1 leather with Premium Fabric. 10 laps on fabric, 25 laps on leather.
Mug--Gimme coffee cup from the local bank.
Soap--Soap concoction #1 of Watkins and Kirk's Castile.
Brush--Badger this morning just to remind me of why I like boar.
Aftershave--Alum block, 5 drops EVOO, Stetson aftershave, followed by 1 spritz of Stetson cologne.
    Moustache wax--Clubman
Result--Standard 3 pass. What a wonderful shave. Makes me weep for all the years this poor razor layed in my junk drawer with broken scales. Thank you to all the guys here at SRP for giving me the incentive to raise it from the dead. Next shave is Wednesday when I attempt to do a FULL three pass shave with my Henry Sears 3/8 touch up razor. This little guy can be pure wicked if you don't watch your angle. You all have a great week.
