Thanked: 61/25 - Solingen 5/8 round point (JoshEarl honed), Proraso tub soap.
Normal prep.
I don't know if it was the fact that I had shaved the day before (usually I go every other day with the str8) or the razor, but I had a HUGE amount of razor burn. As I noted before, the feel of this razor on my face is still harsher than my Boker 6/8 extra hollow. Unfortunately, STILL not a 'clean shave' but still presentable for work.
I'm going to skip a day and try the Solingen again on Saturday and see if it's any better.

Thanked: 13245TGIF Luxury Shave
A new restore, if you could call it that, A little cleaning, some Flitz on the blade, and it was off to the hones and strops for this Clauss. This was by far the best buy I have made on E-bay to date. It is actually easy, to sharpen a razor, when all is correct, and right in the world...
No fixing somebody else's hone job, no taking out, and establishing a new bevel, from a (new) factory grind.... This was a nice flat edge to start with and she sharpened right up.....
