Nice to see some familiar names around here!

    Proraso Pre SC
Connaught Shaving Eukalyptus & Mint SS
    Edwin Jagger BBB
    SFK Wapienica 5/8
    Proraso Post SC

All straight again. This time it was much better! No way near "good" but a significant improvement over the previous shaves with a straight.

I did some reading up and one piece of advice I took to heart was to strop the blade 50 times on each side before the shave... this made wonders for the edge! I also read that the blade angle should be 30 degrees, or angled 2 spine widths, I guess that also helped!

What makes me really happy is that haven't slashed any major parts of my physique with the razor, all I've had so far is shaves ranging from terrible to bad and a slight sensation of razor burn. I guess I should call myself lucky so far

I'm sitting back as I just now finished a delightful str8 shave from the SER Str8 newbie offering that XChris was gracious to supply
This is the first time I used the Joseph Allen Non XXL, half Medium Size Hollow.
Stropped it 50 x on my Tony Miller Starter. It's a good thing I got the Starter. I put a nick in it. I was getting cocky with my strop speed and missed a rotation. just caught the heel of the blade on the side of the strop. Not big...But a comeuppance!
I lathered up Taylor's of Old Bond Street Rose cream using a Simpson T4. A really lovely shave and scent.
Finished off with Alum block, Corn Huskers and Truefitt & Hill Spanish Leather...I always refer to it as English DUH!!!
It's a sampler vial and I dabbed it on chest, neck elbows and wrists.
    I feel like a million $

My technique is improving with each shave. I'm finding new contortions and ways to hold the blade. I want to work on using my left hand thru more of the shave

    Little Cutie
Acqua di Parma Barberia shave cream
    Vintage Clydesdale strop
Hastily restored vintage Torrey 6/8 rp
    Dr. Moss Scuttle large blue
    Alt Innsbruck AS

Needed to test the razor before sending off. HHT was not stellar, but I decided to take the chance and the shave was better than I expected so I consider the razor ready

Somehow missed the dimple on my chin but still a good shave. Unfortunately, the AdP may be a little tingly on my face and I didn't want to have it on for much longer. Very nice combination with the Alt Innsbruck aftershave, though

    Cheers
    Ivo
