Today I shaved again with the Julius Dirlam..
Yesterday I did a couple of things wrong causing a not so optimal shave.. (it wasnt a bad shave...) I didnt strop well enough.. I made the lather too dry.. I learned that the optimal angel for the julius is even more shallow than my other razors.. so I shaved again and it was a lot better..
the same ingredients as yesterday (didnt want to change too much)
but another hobby included in the picture..

In the background is my bass guitar. Music is another one of my great joys in life.. My band is currently recording a CD. We have a couple of songs up on our MySpace site: www.myspace.com/lychesisLast edited by mbeem; 03-03-2009 at 02:00 PM.

Very nice SOTD pic...looks like a Fender Jazz Bass, also very nice. Music is also a passion of mine, I play guitar...but I never got the nerve up to play in front of anyone accept my family. I have made a promise to myself that this year I'm going to do it!
I like your pic so much, if you don't mind me copying your idea, I think I'll make my next SOTD post with one of my axes!
I checked out the two songs on your myspace site. It's not my genre of music, but have to admit it sounds great and is really well done. My two sons play as well and my youngest is the Metalhead in the family. I'm going to send him the link, I'm sure he will really enjoy the tunes. Good luck to you and the band!

Thanks Bill!!
The bass is actually a Mike Lull bass, a builder out of Washington state ( Mike Lull Custom Guitars and Guitar Works ).. They call them "Super Jazz Basses" where they take Leo's design and step it up a notch..
It's a GREAT bass!!
