My 1st SOTD post here--guys, please do not be mad at me, because as I said earlier, I am unable, or actually afraid to shave with a straight razor until I have another cataract operation. I thank God I can still see well enough to use a DE. Once I have the surgery, and my eye is better, I will be more than happy to get back into straight shaving again!

    Have a great Sunday!

    Jeff

    Tonight was Puma time..

I had dinged the blade and honed it up again..
Was a great Shave.. I didnt do a whole lot to get smooth as I had had it for today..removing 39 years of wall paper in the new room of my son..
    So there we go
    Shower
Lathered up with tabac (love that smell )
stropped the razor 10 laps on CrO, 30 on athletics tape (works great) 100 on leather
rinsed and lathered up again with my home made 22mm golden nib silvertip
One pass with the grain (found that the heel of the razor is not there yet but it shaves...
    hot rinse
    Lathered up
ATG on cheeks and neck XTG on chin and upperlip
    hot rinse
brushed my teeth (almost put tabac on my toothbrush)
cold rinse and Sanex AS balm

not very smooth but comfortale shave..

I'll post a picture later. this week..

    My shave on monday:

    - Thäter 4411 brush
    - Truefitt & Hill Luxury Soap
    - Gloriawerk 4/8"
    - TÜFF AS sensitive
    - Davidoff Cool Water Edt

The Gloria Razor was in pretty bad condition when arrived from ebay. A friend of mine repaired the scales and honed it. It is now sharp as hell, and can easily compete with my Filarmonica in terms of sharpness.
Of course, the Fillie will always be my number one
