Tuesday:
Omega Silvertip
Weishi Chrome/new Nacet
Gada Cool Mint S/C
Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
Diana mentholated balm
Acqua di Selva cologne
This Gada cream is a very cheap Lebanese-made cream, with rich lather, a nice minty scent that disappears fast, and very good cooling. I've sent it to friends of mine, and they all like it.

This is my first SotD post, and I'm afraid I didn't take any pictures; I've only got the words this time.
Today's shave was really nice for me, because I'd been to drill this weekend and given myself near field shaves at the reserve center; I was kind of dinged up. So I left my face alone yesterday and only shaved this morning. My beard grows pretty fast, so I had a good bit of stubble to work with.
First, I took a shower. Well, always a good thing to do in the morning before heading to work.
Next, a little bit of Musgo Real pre-shave oil.
Then, a hot barber's towel to the face while I stropped the Dovo genuine bone honed by the honemeister himself (thanks, Lynn! For a newbie like myself, it sure helps the learning curve when you're confident your razor is honed correctly). 15 passes on canvas, 25 on leather.
Lather up with a Simpson's brush and Trumper's Sandalwood soap; keep the brush warm in a Moss scuttle.
First pass, with the grain. I love that sound.
Lather again, second pass across the grain.
Take a pause to do another hot wrap with a barber towel.
Lather up again, final pass against the grain and final touchups of the chin and mustache areas.
Another hot barber towel to finish and clean the soap off the face a bit.
A shot of witch hazel, cold-water rinse and luke-warm wash with a bar of soap. A couple more cold water rinses.
Finish up with Trumper's sandalwood skin food and a splash of trumper's Spanish Leather.
I took my time. No one was rushing me like they had been over the weekend, and I had plenty of time to get to work, so I just relaxed, unwound, concetrated on the ritual of the thing and enjoyed the result.
There really is soemthing rewarding about a good shave.
There you have it; a bit long-winded and no pictures, just a good shave.
