    Default Monday:

    Omega Silvertip
    Ming Shi TTO/new 7 AM
    De Vergulde Hand S/S bowl
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    De Vergulde Hand deo spray
    De Vergulde Hand A/S spray
    Quorum EDT

This lovely Dutch soap comes from a company that is in existance for 450 years, so this means the stuff must be great--the aftershave is so soothing, and smells delicious, and the deo spray has that same scent, and also really protects against perspiration odour. To all my brethren here, again, please do not hate or reject me for my DE shaves--it's only a matter of time before I get back into the straight razor scene.

    Default This Monday

Today I used several unique items that I just had to share with you.
If it wasn't for the after shave splash, this would have been an All-Portuguese shaving set, well, the razor is not Portuguese either, its German-Brazilian, I'll explain in detail:

Shaving Brush: Semogue Excelsior Genuine Buffalo Horn Finest Silvertip Badger Hair

Shaving Soap: A vintage shaving soap powder by Claus Porto, Ach. Brito. That's right, I managed to get some very rare powder from the very own Ach. Brito, the same company that makes Musgo Real and Lavanda. I don't know how many years does this thing has, but it was nicely closed and compact, so I guess it was still usable. I sprinkled some powder into the tin and with a moist brush I started swirling, soon after, the lather was growing. Not as much cushioning as MR or Lavanda, but still nice, though, after all, it's a very rare shaving soap powder that hasn't been made for many years now.

Straight Razor: A NOS Gebruder Weyersberg "Corneta" 5016 5/8 full hollow. This is rare item too. It's very similar to a Kirschbaum - very light and sharp, feels almost like a shavette.

    Alum Block: 444 AB

After Shave: Aqua Velva mixed with 444 balm

*First attempt at a complete WTG pass using the straight. One very minor self-healing weeper at the corner of the mouth. A feeble attempt at the chin and upper lip area...but a start nonetheless.
