Wow - someone actually has this! I love the vintage razors I have, but (really) covet only one "new" model and it's the "Le Canadien"! This is really the razor that if I had the bread I would buy right off the bat. I'm a Canadian ex-pat, so this must be strictly emotional - fantastic!

    Default ahhh

Even though I used all the regular tackle, somehow the stars aligned and I got the BEST shave I think I've ever had...I keep trying to get a picture, but I run out of time each morning!

2'' latigo with webbing (50 laps each)
    hot towel prep
    Wostenholm Pipe 5/8 round
    C.O. Bigelow cream
    old Wilkenson Sword boar brush
    cold water rinse

I've been really trying to lighten up the touch and let each pass work for itself (also adjusting the angle of the razor to meet the needs of each of the passes) - goodness, I might be on to something...

Hey I've got that same soap, I haven't used it yet, but I used the cream of the same brand, what do you think about it?

    Default Friday - early morning

    Hot towel
    Trumper's Coral Skin Food (pre)
    Kent T4
    Trumper's Rose Soap
    6/8" Puma
Roger & Gallet L' Homme after shave balm

The balm is nice, offered a good covering and even after 17hrs after the shave I am not feeling any itchiness on my face. It has too much menthol though.
