    Today's shave:

Nice hot warm shower, followed by:

    Cream: TOBS Lemon & Lime
    Brush: Kent BLK2
    Straight: 11/16 J.C. Custom 1/4 grind

It was such a smooth shave that I did not feel the need for any after shave treatment.

I love listening to the sound of whiskers being neatly shaved off..

Generally, I love music in not really all but most of its varied forms & sounds, but during my shaves, I just like the nice & quiet moment all by myself in the bathroom, or, on some days, with my wife watching and us having a nice earfly-morning conversation.

Newbie, but couldn't resist the music being mentioned.

    Merkur 12C with Feather
    Dovo Special for touchup
    Tabac SS
    Thayers WH
    Nivea ASB - Sensitive

Rather than learning by using the SR and following up with the DE, I'm building more confidence by using the SR to carefully do the touchups near my mouth and chin. Reasonable strategy or am I just avoiding the real work?

    Morning music: Enya
    Evening music: Sade

Love the classical music too, but sometimes this music is just more soothing to me.

those moments are quite sweet aren't they? Both the silence and lovely conversation. Lately I've been all about old recordings of jazz because A) they sound better on my iPhone speakers than modern recorded music and B) it's more appropriate to my environment.

When I first started Straight Shaving I just took the plunge and only used a Straight, before that I very rarely shaved, just a pair of clippers as short as they go, now I never even think of using any other razor
