C&E Nomad cream
T+H version of the Rooney 1/1
Dovo 1516, 5/8 with faux tortoise shell scales
Nivea unscented balm
Pen's Racquets Formula
Thank God for styptic pens......
My first cut occurred today, didn't pay too much attention (I was in a pretty bad mood), so I went too steep over an area on my chin that had no lather left. Well, lesson learned - in the future I may take a DE or even a cartridge razor when I am not fully ok.

This Sunday
Hot towel
GB Kent T4
Speick SS
Le Grelot 6/8 (can't get enough of this razor!!)
Lotion Opaline
First day ever with Speick. Reminds me very much of the Palmolive stick. Same slickness and lather. I can see both sticks lasting me a few years!!

Nothing very special here, but it is my first SOTD post
Prep : Hot shower/hot towel
Pre-shave : Proraso
Razor : 6/8 starter from Ruprazor
Shave soap : Tabac
Post Shave : Thayer's Unscented Witch Hazel
Aftershave : Dr. Harris aftershave milk
First time using the Dr. Harris, a nice clean scent, a little lemony. I like it.
Next stop : Upgrade to a scuttle.

Location: 40°50'38.61"N 73°56'19.68"W
Razor: Filarmonica Especial Para Barbas Duras
Brush: Rudolph Vey Horn 2 Band Custom
Soap: Penhaligon's English Fern
Astringent: alum+Thayer's Witch Hazel w/ Aloe
AS: Aveda Gel for Men
Result: Wow. Easily in the top 2 shaves ever. After a spat of low quality edges, it's good to see that I can hone damn well once in a while.
Built my lather differently: soaked brush during shower, shook lightly thrice, held soap bowl over mug (new, cost $1) while loading brush (5 seconds, max) allowing sudsy water to drip into mug, then whipped it up. Didn't need any more water, was slick and gorgeous the rest of the shave, more so than normal. An over eager nick or two notwithstanding, result was BBS.
