My Xmas shave from yesterday (we're now at the end of Boxing Day, here in NZ).

    Brush: Semogue 2015
Soap: TGQ Autumn Spice (I love this soap now I've worked out how to get good lather from it)
Razor: EJ 89 w. new Astra Platinum blade (travelled home for Xmas, so no straights for me - still trying to perfect my shaving with a DE too)
    AS: Witch Hazel, Pinaud Clubman
The shave: BBS, no irritation, no weepers, a brilliant start to Xmas Day.

Not a bad shave, ,but could have been better, some irritation but good enough....at least the weather is good, I'll go out to the patio to do some reading...("The Road" by Cormac McCarthy)

Cool Dec 26 shave or where the English met the Spanish

Boy, I won't forget Christmas 2009 for a long time. The wife got me a brand new Filarmonica Double Temple (I know...I know, I have already posted it my SOTD Dec 23 shave) I also got myself a tub of Truefitt and Hill Grafton shaving cream. I am still in awe, the creaminess and moisturing properties of this cream are outstanding. Boy, the English sure know how to make shaving creams...on the other hand the spanish steel looped off two days of stubble growth like dusting off lint from my pants. Here's how it went.

    >>Prep: Hot shower + proraso pre/post cream
    >>Strop: SRD red latigo. Stropped Filarmonica 40/40.
    >>Razor: Filarmonica Double Temple.
    >>Brush: Omega. Lucretia Borgia silver tip badger hair
    >>Cream: T&H Grafton
    >>Cream was wipped in my new SRD bulldog mug
    >>Astringent: Thayers Lemon
    >>AS: Italian Floyd
    >>Eau de Perfum: Castle Forbes - Gentlemen's cologne

Adult drink: Crioss - Argentinian Malbec
