    Friday morning - late post

Prep: Face wash w/ CarrieM's bay Rum Bath Soap
Strop: Linen and TM Horse Hide
    Brush: Vestevia Silvertip
    SC: CarrieM's Lilac
Razor: J.A. Henckels Platinum 5/8's square point
    Cologne: Royall Spice

A rare morning shave due to white outs on the way from home Thursday evening. Face lathered w/ the Vestevia, which is a little soft for face lathering, at least for me.

Results: smooth as silk shave and BBS finish.

    C&E Sandalwood a/s balm

I look forward to the weekend to work on my straight technique. I am not able to get a BBS shave but I am patient considering I only use a straight once or twice a week and I know I'll get better. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoy the process and today was no exception. The SRD soap feels and smells great and responds well with the 1305. I put a little Royall Vetiver into the Dickinson's to cut the witch hazel smell and add a bit of scent. I prefer the Thayer's with aloe but the price of the Dickinson's can't be beat. Finished with the Sandalwood balm and Edt to face the single digit temps outside.
