    Cool Wednesday night shave

Prep: Hot shower + Proraso preshave cream
Razors: Wacker 6/8 spanish point. Honed this razor again taking it to the 8K and 10K Naniwas. Results were phenomenal, no pulling and the down stroke took off the stubble effordlessly. Shaved the other half of my face with the Boker 5/8. Boy, I love the little fellow.
    SS: MWFS in ceramic bowl
Brush: Vulfix, The Strand in hogs hair. Great little brush
    Astringent: Thayers Lemon
    AS: Pinaud Clubman.

Result: BBS and a happy hog.
Music: Played the whole El Loco CD. Here's to you 1OLDGI.

    Default Friday Morning...

Prep: Hot shower--followed by Robeson bay rum beard prep
    Brush:
Omega Lucretia Borgia Series “Best Silvertip”
    SS/SC:
Valobra (Menthol) + Ingram = Superlather
    Strop:
VB Red Latigo--50 fabric; 55 leather
    Razor:
    5/8" Dovo “Red Solingen”
    Astringent:
    Alum block
    ASB:
    Nivea for Men “Extreme Comfort”
    AS:
    Dominica Bay Rum
    Result:
    BBS…

Omega brushes are becoming my favorite--along with the Valobra Soft Shaving Soap. When combined with shave cream, Valobra produces bountiful lather and the Omegas are a real standout in my bevy of shaving brushes for creating nice, luxurious lather with a minimum of effort.

    Friday:

    Iwasaki
    Cella
    Semouge LE
    Musgo Real A/S

My second shave with the Iwasaki went very well. It's still a little awkward getting used to shaving with only one side.
