Funny, I disliked this INOX from the beginning because I couldn't get it sharp. A couple of weeks ago, I ran Lord-knows-how-many-passes on my 12K while watching television and finally got a proper edge on it. Now it's one of my favorites!

Yep, sometimes it takes a wetstone and a lot of elbow grease to make a str8 razor behave. At any rate, that's a very nice looking razor.

I wondered if those were the original scales. Thank you for clarifying this matter. They do indeed look nice. Hat's off to both Undream and you.

Yorkie,

My oh my...What an unusually crafted, uniquely functional str8 razor. I've never seen anything quite like that before. Congratulations.
Prep: Hot shower--followed by Robeson bay rum beard prep
Brush: Omega Lucretia Borgia Series “Best Silvertip
SS/SC: Valobra (Menthol) + Ingram = Superlather
Strop: VB Red Latigo--50 fabric; 55 leather
Razor: 5/8" Dovo “Red Solingen”
Astringent: Alum block
ASB: Nivea for Men “Extreme Comfort”
AS: Dominica Bay Rum
Result: BBS…

Omega brushes are becoming my favorite--along with the Valobra Soft Shaving Soap. When combined with shave cream, Valobra produces bountiful lather and the Omegas are a real standout in my bevy of shaving brushes for creating nice, luxurious lather with a minimum of effort.
+ 1 on that Dr.J . I also own the Omega Silvertip in addition to the Model 20106 which is a big 28MM knot hogs hair brush. Along with the Vulfix brushes, Omega brushes are also my favorite. HOG
