    Default Thursday Morning

Hour ride followed by Hot Shower
    26mm TGN Silvertip
Ogallala Bay Rum, Sage, and Cedar
    Fredrick Reynolds
    Realm aftershave balm

This was the first time I used the Fredrick Reynolds, just cleaned and honed it on Sunday. Result was an excellent BBS shave!

Razor: 15/16 Geo. Wostenholm & Sons Celebrated I-XL Wedge Hollow Point
    Rockingham Works Ca. 1836 - 1847
    Soap/Mug: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Lather Bowl: Ceramic
    Brush: Omega Boar
    ASB: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave: Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum

First shave with this chopper and I must admit to being a little intimidated by the size of it! The spine of this thing is 3/16 wide and it weights about 3 ozs. It's really a beautiful razor for something that's about 170-180 years old. I have seen a number of Wostie choppers that were from the Washington Works but the Rockingham Works predates the Washington Works as far as I could determine. This thing took a wicked edge with only a few strokes on the hone. The shave was smooth and comfortable; very pleasant and mild, not at all what I expected. This beauty is a keeper!
Great shaves shown by all this morning Gentlemen!

An hour ride on your cycle. I bet that was a real pleasure. Wish I could have joined you.

BTW...Your shaving kit is a fitting finish to your ride.

    Chris,

So you're a TI man too...I think you'll agree they are nice shavers.

I'll have to try riding my road bike as part of my pre-shave routine.

    jhenry,

It was really relaxing to be able to ride with absolutely no scheduled things to do and then just be able to take a long relaxing shave.

    It was a good morning!!
