I do like them. I have a Le Grelot and the Wheat Berry and both give a nice shave.

    Default Thursday Morning

    Hot Shower
    24mm TGN Extra Hair
    TOBS Lavender
    Henckels Friodur 7/8
    Alt Innsbruck

Gave the Henckels the attention it needed yesterday afternoon. It returned the favor with a very smooth shave. If only I would have been more concentrated I would not have cut myself twice on the neck. Still a great shave!!

    Default Back in Black

Been a while since my last SOTD, but I'm back with two gorgeous razors in Black. I believe both to be celluloid or bakelite... Or some similar material

Razor: 5/8 Spike point Union Razor Cutlery Co. "Improved Southern Queen" Fresh off my Naniwas with a wonderful, straight edge
Razor: Weighing in at a hair under 6/8, it's my first TORREY! Barber's notch and honed by yours truly... This thing took me nearly 7 hours to hone as I had never learned the Rolling X, and this razor forced me to learn and (somewhat) master it. However, the razor shaved fantastically and I was very happy. The Union and Torrey were, originally, both going to be sold, but I'm thinking I'll end up keeping the Torrey... At least for now..
Brush: my trusty Omega 11137, an outstanding performer... Very ergonomic
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood, a lovely soap with fantastic lather
Strop: Prior to the shave, both blades got 100 passes on SRD's webbed fabric and 150 on SRD's Premium IV Bridle... After the shave, they got 50 on SRD's Wool Felt on the mod Paddle and 75 on the Premium I on the mod paddle.

Results: A wonderful, if quick, shave, my honing has been quite successful so far, and, while the Union is too small for me, the Torrey just squeaks in at the bottom of my "keeper" range, and will stay for now.

    Happy shaving, gents and ladies!

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

Oh, pictured in the background is my father's antique/vintage pinball table... I love pinball
