    Good shave.
I love the 31:s I have, in fact I´m going to bring one of them out tomorrow. They may not look like much, but they shave like champs. Are those the orginal scales (looks like that)? They´re lovely anyhow!

After viewing the awesome razors you gentlemen regularly display in this thread, I thought "Green" would be an appropriate theme for my first SOTD post, so I went with Proraso. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Yes, the scales are original. Ivory scales are quite common on the 31s.

    Razor: 6/8 TI Le Grelot
    Soap: Cream Soap "X"**
    Brush: Shavemac 177
Aftershave: Alum Block / 444 + Ivy Club Spice
    Cologne: Old Spice EdC

** I received this yesterday from a certain independent soap vendor. It was described only as an "unreleased cream soap" in an "unlisted test scent". There was no ingredients list but judging from the smell out of the tub, I'd bet money that it's tallow based. The cream soap has a consistence a little denser than Jell-O pudding and has a odd, "curdled" appearance. Visual short-comings aside, it provided some of the best lather I've ever used with very little effort to build! I did a three-pass shave with the TI this morning and had enough lather left on the brush for at least two more passes! Scent-wise, meh... Really couldn't tell what the "test scent" was supposed to be. But scent has always been secondary to me.

Final thoughts: This is a great soap and I really hope it makes it into full production. Needs work on the scent though. The strong, what seems like 'tallowy" scent will surely drive some away.

    Razor: Filarmonica 13 Pistaccio Scales
Cream: AOS Unscented and AOS pre shave oil (sample pack)
    AS: Pinaud Bay Rum
    Strop: TM Latigo

Awesome shave. Just touched up the razor, and that thing is sharp as can be when it is fresh. Forgot how good the AOS cream is.

Pre Shave Oil based on the readings of Edgar Cayce http://www.edgarcayce.org/edgar-cayce1.html

    Geneva Ontario 11/16
Tony Miller Strop 30 Linen/55 Latigo

Too HOT to run dogs today, so the equipment makes a good prop. Nice cool water shave to offset the heat...
