    Saturday, 6.26.10

Aura Glow as a Pre Shave Oil
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Semogue #830 SuperBoar
Morley & Sons Clover Brand blade
Tony Miller Heirloom Strop 40 Linen/65 Latigo
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea AS Balm
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

I spent the past five days in camp in the beautiful Adirondacks of New York. I was looking forward this morning to mowing down the resulting 5 day growth, and the chosen actors did not let me down! The only thing I would change would be the Lilac Vegetal... Just seemed a bit too heavy for a day promising to be dominated by the three H's... Otherwise a close, irritation free shave!

    Great SOTD's everyone!

    Stroker,

Very nice-looking mug and razor chief.

    Thanks Bruce...

I can't say it's good to be back, but it's great to get cleaned up!
The Black Flies are on the wane, but the Deer Flies and Punkies are thick. Luckily there are no ticks!

Looks like a good year for snakes though...

    P.S.
I used to have a terrible fear of snakes. I worked for years to desensitize myself, and now I find them quite interesting... No pit vipers, though!

Growing up in the Ozarks we had every kind of snake known in the US except the coral snake. I soon picked up on the maxim; "The only good snake is a dead one!"
