After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:
1964 Macys badger
1958 Executive/Feather
AOS lemon SC
Lumene AS balm
vintage Caron 'Yatagan' Pour Monsieur
The Feather blade's a very nice change of pace, and especially effective with this morning's two days worth of whiskers to be whacked. It's a great blade when used in the correct razor.
BBS results,
Martin

4am Sunday morning shave
As the title says it was. 4 am shave today.
Was going for a family road trip from toronto to Windsor and got yelled at to shave before we left so had to make sure I was wide awake for this!
Cold water prep
Grelot 6/8
3" latigo 25 canvas 70 leather. Didn't have too much time for the extra long stropping like I love.
Trumpers coconut
Nivea balm
Pretty good shave but didn't do so great on the second clean up pass due to sleepiness so some parts not as smooth. Oops!!
Also I noticed the less I soak my brush the better the lather is. Hmm I might be onto something here.Shaving_story on Instagram

Thanked: 2516Thanks Mark! I rescaled it with some scales off of a junk razor. I thought the design on the scales looked kinda neat. It's a excellent shaving razor as well. I really like your Helji's new scales! The last razor I have to rescale is my Helji but I think I will get some TI replacement scales and do it myself. It's kinda fun to do! LOL

My gear for most of the week
Pre-Shave: Stephan's Smooth Shave Cream Razor: 5/8" Respecto #77, Round Point Brush: 24mm Shavemac Silvertip Soap: TOBS Eaton College Collection Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel Post-Shave: Trumper's Sandalwood Skin Food, Trumper's Moisturizer Cologne: Penhaligon's Racquets Result: The Respecto is my go-to blade. Love shaving with it. This week, I am using the combination of TOBS Eaton College shave cream, violet shave soap and a squirt of glycerin...The überather is exceptionally slick and moist. The Shavemac is a dream brush to work this lather into the beard. Wonderfully smooth and BBS shave.
Enjoy your week .
