Thumbs up Week of August 15 SOTD - Monday

Pre-Shave: Hot shower + Fresh lemon + Stephan's conditioning shave creme
Razor: 6/8" Theirs-Issard Historical Worked Back, Full hollow, Round point
Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip, Olive handle
Überlather: Al's Da Bomb (Calypso - sample) + Mama Bear's Myrrh Shave Soap + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Post-shave: Trumper's Lime Skin Food
    Facial Moisturizer: Trumper's Facial Moisturizer
    Cologne: Penhaligon Racquets
Result: Today instead of using my usual Frederick Reynolds wedge to annihilate my 2 day growth, I opted for the 6/8" "historic" Thiers-Issard, which up to this point had not been used too often, and I figured I give it the attention it really deserves . Well...I am glad that I did. I already knew that this modest blade would deliver a stellar performance on a "regular", 1 day growth beard, but what really knocked my socks off is that, similar to its heavier cousin (i.e., the Frederick Reynolds), it easily cleaned my thick, 2 day growth and left my face near BBS with the first pass .

    Default Monday morning shave

PREP: Hot shower with face condtioner scrub
    RAZOR: Genco "seneca chief"
    BRUSH: Tweezerman
    SOAP: Trumpers "sandalwood"
    SCUTTLE: Dirtybird
    ASTRINGENT: Thayers Superhazel
    ASB: Corn Huskers
    AS: Clubman Vanilla
    EDC: NOIR
RESULT: Fantastic shave this morning!! Nice and slow and relaxing shave, and first time trying the trumpers sandalwood , which is a great cream, I love the scent and the performance of this cream is 2nd to none. Ive been in a Genco mood so decided to use the Seneca today, I love this blade it feels a little smaller/lighter in my hand then others but i like small blades to begin with, and it does a great job of taking care of the 3 days growth.

AS ALWAYS GENTLEMAN FANTASTIC PICS THIS WEEK !!! CANT WAIT TOO FOR THE THEME WEEK!!!!

First shave with the new Grelot.

Shaves like a dream and its scary sharp, got a cut on my lip even if i was careful.

Love the razor its a bit lighter than my bone scaled razor but the weight and balance is perfect.

Also i thought the outdoor theme was for this week but its not, either way here is the outdoor pic.

    Strop:3" Black latigo and poliweb 50 web/ 100 leather
Razor: 6/8 Le grelot full hollow in Rams horn
    Brush: Omega 05
    Soap: DR Harris Lavender
    Aftershave: Very SExy For Him

2 pass shave and its perfection. 25/50 strop and oiled until next time.

My pair of grelots are gonna be a shaving dreams.
