Monday morning
Pre: Hot shower
Razor: C W Dahlgren frameback
Brush: Henk custom 22 mm silvertip
Soap: Tabac
Post: Proraso
ASB: Davidoff
AS: English lather
Strop: Neil Miller linnen/buffallo 30/50
Result: Ok
Pic from our backyard (on a little hill in connection to our garden). This frameback is _sharp_ and I knew that and was very careful and did two passes. HHT is very easy, the hair cuts before you even start to draw it over the edge . Clean, but could have done a touchup to get closer.

There's no place like home!
Finally back home and I had a number of shave-related goodies waiting on me at the office (sadly, I know there will be many less pleasant goodies for me there today). I decided to feature one today:
Razor: Wacker 13/16 Jubilaums Mod. 2 with dark horn (the picture does not do these scales justice - they have so much variation to their color they are gorgeous!) and laser etched spine
Uberlather: Bomb Lavender + Benton Clay Lavender SS + 4 drops
Scuttle: DirtyBird 1.5
Brush: Vulfix Silvertip Fan
Post: Thayer's Lavender (no alcohol)
ASB: Nivea Sensitive
EdT: Creed Green Irish Tweed
What an incredibly sublime shave! The lather today was phenomenal - the lavender scent exploded all around me, and it built quickly into a soft creamy pillow that let this amazing blade do its thing. The razor lived up to my every expectation! It is stunning to look at and in two gentle passes it gave me the smoothest shave I've had to date without a single sight of anything red...
I got this razor as an anniversary present and it has made me almost as happy as my marriage! I recently read a thread asking about the one razor you wouldn't let go - I may have just found mine! (Of course, I still have a few other toys to try out, so I can't get too jumpy).
Sorry for the poor pic, gentlemen, but the lighting isn't great when you go to work too early (plus urban living doesn't leave too much to see)...

Week of August 22 "Themed" SOTD - Monday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Pre-Shave Oil: Truffit & Hill DE Razors: Deluxe Vintage + Merkur 39C Slant Bar Safety Razors Blades: Derby Extra SS Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger Überlather: TOBS Eaton College Collection Shave Creme + Mama Bear's Myrrh Shave Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol) Post Shave: Trumper's Sandalwood Skin Food Facial Moisturizer: Trumper's Facial Moisturizer Cologne: Penhaligon Opus 1870 Result: Today was a special treat. I decided it was time to break the mold and my usual routine of shaving with str8s...So, I reached into my shave drawer and took out the box where I had stored my DEs for the past 5 months or so, in favor of str8s. Not today...Talk about an emotional reunion . I prepped my beard with T&H pre-shave oil and überlather and the DE razors with a couple of Derby blades. No sooner than the blade contacted my face, did memories come flooding back..."Total Recall" baby! The vintage deluxe DE was used for a WTG/XTG pass, while the slant came at the end with a slick ATG pass. I had forgotten how wonderful these razors were . BBS shave to kick start this day.
Have a wonderful start of the week gentlemen .
