I'm usually too lazy to post SOTD, but this was a great one.
Two new things happened.
1. I had another success using JimR's method on my Iwasaki Choice Japanese stone. The razor was shave ready, but I'm picky so I took it to this stone with thick slurry and honed until the slurry was dry. The edge came out super smooth. It was so un-tuggy, I often couldn't even tell it cut the hairs.
2. I decided to put a little glycerin in with my lather. The lather was better than anything I've ever tried (even my uberlathers).
Suzumasa Kanoyama razor
Kanoyama 50,000 strop
Nancy Boy Refreshing shaving cream (really good stuff! Great cucumber scent)
Alum block
CarrieM's unscented aftershave balm (the best out of the many I've tried)
Capt. Smith's Bay Rum w/ Key Lime cologne

Oh yeah! People are missing out. When I'm in SF, I'm only a 5 minute drive away from their store, so I checked them out really early on when I was learning to wetshave. I put their creams in the back of my drawer for a while and forgot about them, but that'll change.
