Week of September 26 SOTD - Friday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Pre-Shave Oil: Truffit & Hill Music: Gustav Mahler, "Symphony No. 5 in C Sharp minor" Razor: Deluxe Vintage HD, Merkur 39C Slant Bar (Gillette 7 O'Clock Blades) Brush: 25mm Vestavia Silvertip Badger Überlather: Geo Trumper's Sandalwood Shave Creme + Mama Bear's Almond Shave Soap + Glycerin Post-shave/Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) ASB: Truffit & Hill Trafalgar Result: Today just seemed right for a DE shave...and it was not disappointing. A mix of GFT and Mama bear's soap provided just the right cushion and glide to make this shave a smooooooth possibility. 1 x WTG pass with the slant, and an XTG followed by an ATG pass with the HD was the pre-requisite for this heavenly shave. But, I must say that as much as I enjoy GFT, TOBS, and AOS, CarrieM's and Al Raz' cremes are in a totally different league.
Have a great Friday gentlemen .

Blade: 6/8 Le Grelot restored by Max
Brush: Simpsons Polo 8
Pre-Shave: Santa Maria Novella
SC: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet
AS: Aqua Di Parma
EDT: AdP Colonia
The blade came to me in a poor condition. It still has some pitting that did not go away after restoration but it is the smoothest blade that I tried so far.

Well i had my daughter pick my shaving cream. She picked Caswell Massey Almond. Im still trying to figure out how to use this puck soap. Fantastic lather,Cushion, Glide and scent. The only thing is it doesnt stay latherd on your face. It disappeares. So you have to do small areas of your face at a time.
I decided to use my 8/8 Friodur. What a fantastic razor she is. 2 passes to pure . BBBBBBBBSSSSSmmmmmooooottthhhhhh. Love this razor.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!
