Post Week of September 26 SOTD - Thursday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Pre-Shave Oil: Truffit & Hill
Music: Frédéric Chopin, "Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21, Maestoso, Larghetto, Allegro Vivace"
Razor: 7/8" Novelty 1879, Hollow, Spike point
    Strop: SRD Premium IV (60/70)
    Brush: 24mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Überlather: CarrieM Lilac Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin
Post-shave/Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
Cologne: Truffit & Hill Spanish Leather
Result: I am happy to say that deadline #1 has come and grant #1 has been submitted. Now the waiting game begins with two more deadlines looming on the event horizon. Regardless, after a good night sleep, the day called for a lather which was not only rich and moist, but also Zen-inducing. CarrieM's Lilac creme mixed with MWF soap and some Glycerin provided just the right formula. As expected, I was greeted with an amazingly moist and rich überlather whereby the subtle scent of Lilac was in no way overpowering, but still seductively potent enough to put me in this "shaving trans" that I so desired and sought. Absolutely relaxing!! The Novelty's wonderfully close shave left my face feeling super smooth. I feel re-energized and reborn...My batteries are almost fully charged and ready to tackle the new deadline(s).

It's dense, with alcohol, that I like it, the scent is warm, as a tea , not a cooling product but shooting. The negative point is the density, is a bit to be absorbed by the skin. But my barber uses it and I always go out from the barbershop with nice sensations on my skin. She gave me a soft massage to apply the aftershave, maybe that's the secret....

BTW I like your pic, I don't know what time or work do you spend, but is worth it

    Thank you, José.

Sometimes, in my errors, something turns out right in spite of myself!

My grandson bought me a wind-up flashlight a few years back, and I often use that for fill-in light, or as an attempt to highlight an area.

My meager attempts sometimes turn out well purely by accident!

Thanks again, my friend... Your photos are the excellence I strive for...

FW Engels Special | Kanayama | Bomb Potomac | Shavemac | Thayers Lavender | Montale Lime Aoud

Had to give the JNats a little love in the post today. I took the FWEback to the 8k last night and then finished her on the midrange natural followed by the nakayama with a thick slurry.

Unfortunately, I then woke up late so my shave was a bit rushed. Thankfully I had the luxurious Bomb cream to cushion my rather rough attempts at removing the stubble. As a result of the harried shave, I can't judge the edge off the JNats. I'll have to give it another go before I judge...

Tons of great shaves displayed this week, gentlemen!
