    Strop: SRD Premium IV (60/75)
    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger

Post-shave/Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer

Result: I haven't read or heard about guys owning, using and/or posting about this blade, but I really enjoy using my Novelty. The size (7/8"), shape (spike point), grind (~1/2 hollow), scales (madrone), balance and the edge all culminate into making this razor one of the best in my collection. As far as lather, a mix of Trumper's Violet and Mama Bear's Violet soap seemed appropriate. The result was nothing short of übergreat. The scent; heavenly!! An awesome and BBS shave. Nuf said .

Cool SOTD with the help from friends and family

    SOTD FOR:

Hot shower followed by Proraso preshave cream.
Gelles Feres faux frameback. I recieved this razor not too long ago. I believe it must date back to the 1870's. I honed it and I have to admit it is a delight to shave with.
Vintage Blades Lavender in teak bowl.
Vulfix hogs hair brush "The Strand"
    Thayers Lemon
    AV Ice
Result: Three passes, a two nicks and one happy hog
    Shave On.
    PS. Thanks guys.HOG

No, it's not a typo above, I did mean K D Creations Black Raspberry Vanilla SOAP! I groveled and Karen sent me a sample of her "experimental" soap. Karen, experiment done - time to start selling The resultant uberlather was out of this world! As others have mentioned, I wasn't certain whether to eat it or shave with it! Can't wait to try the sage & citrus soap & cream tomorrow.

I have the Raspberry soap in an open lathering bowl - the scent wafts through the shave den when you walk by giving a free smell to passers-by.

Photos are old pics of the kids.
Beautiful Kids Greg. Your son will have wonderful razors to chose from when the time comes for a real shave!

    SOTD 9-27-10
    Prep: Hot shower
Strop: SRD Premium IV English Bridle
    Razor: Norvel-Shapleigh
Brush: TGN premium silvertip in Custom Cherry wood handle
    Scuttle: SRD
Uberlather: SRD Lime, Saint Charles Shave unscented cream, 5 drops of glycerin
    After Shave: C.O.Bigelow Mentha
Result: Not much to shave today after the performance the Livi gave yesterday. The shave was relaxing, but I think this razor needs to go back to the hones (another practice razor I've been working on). It shaves, just not as close as I would like.

The shaves are looking amazing so far gentlemen! Keep them coming.
