No, it's not a typo above, I did mean K D Creations Black Raspberry Vanilla SOAP! I groveled and Karen sent me a sample of her "experimental" soap. Karen, experiment done - time to start selling The resultant uberlather was out of this world! As others have mentioned, I wasn't certain whether to eat it or shave with it! Can't wait to try the sage & citrus soap & cream tomorrow.

I have the Raspberry soap in an open lathering bowl - the scent wafts through the shave den when you walk by giving a free smell to passers-by.

Nice family Greg! Your son is lucky to have someone show him the enlightened path so early

    Default Monday Night

    Prep: Hot Shower/Hot Towel
    Strop: Illinois 835
Soap: Proraso White (Aloe & Graan Tea)
    Razor: Bengall Extra 6/8
A/S Balm: Nivea Post Shave Replenishing Balm
I spent most of the weekend driving and didnt get around to shaving.
As a result tonight I was faced with a 3 day growth on both the face and head. I usually use an electric on the head daily but a 3 day growth is a bit hard for it to handle.
I pulled out the Bengall, its around a quarter hollow grind and its one of those razors that I turn to when its been a few days between shaves.
Shaved both the head and face. Face was nice and smooth, head was a little rough but its only my third attempt.
I Just picked up the Proraso White this week and although I prefere the Green, I do like it. It gives a nice glossy lather and leaves the face feeling smooth.
    Have a good week boys

Post Week of September 26 SOTD - Monday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Pre-Shave Oil: Truffit & Hill
Music: Joaquin Rodrigo, "Concierto de Aranjuez: I. Allegro con spirito"
Razor: 7/8" Novelty 1879, Hollow, Spike point (custom madrone scales)
    Strop: SRD Premium IV (60/75)
    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Überlather: Geo Trumper's Violet Shave Creme + Mama Bear's Victorian Violets Shave Soap + Glycerin
Post-shave/Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    AS Splash: Irisch Moos
Result: I haven't read or heard about guys owning, using and/or posting about this blade, but I really enjoy using my Novelty. The size (7/8"), shape (spike point), grind (~1/2 hollow), scales (madrone), balance and the edge all culminate into making this razor one of the best in my collection. As far as lather, a mix of Trumper's Violet and Mama Bear's Violet soap seemed appropriate. The result was nothing short of übergreat. The scent; heavenly!! An awesome and BBS shave. Nuf said .
