Shave cream: K D Creations Black Raspberry Vanilla
Shave soap: K D Creations Black Raspberry Vanilla
Brush: shavemac best badger
Razor: Bob Allman 8/8 French point with Honduran rosewood scales

No, it's not a typo above, I did mean K D Creations Black Raspberry Vanilla SOAP! I groveled and Karen sent me a sample of her "experimental" soap. Karen, experiment done - time to start selling The resultant uberlather was out of this world! As others have mentioned, I wasn't certain whether to eat it or shave with it! Can't wait to try the sage & citrus soap & cream tomorrow.
I have the Raspberry soap in an open lathering bowl - the scent wafts through the shave den when you walk by giving a free smell to passers-by.

He's the one that I took the pic of practicing with a straight that Lynn had muted the edge to butter knife smoothness. He's not quite 13 and is waiting for the peach fuzz to thicken up. He can't wait until he needs to shave. I've not doubt he'll totally bypass safety and electrics and want to start with str8s. He watches me shave 80% of the mornings.

Monday morning
Pre: Hot shower

Brush: New Forest
Soap/cream: Scheerzeep Sandalwood Vetiver
AS: English Leather
Strop: Neil Miller linen/buffallo 30/60
Result: Very clean
It puzzles me, the Heljestrands and sizes. I didnĀ“t think the MK 24 should be a 11/16, but this one is, spot on (and not a 4/8). Lovely blade and lovely shave though.

The FWE is the same one I honed last week (my first honed to shave ready). I thought I might be able to get the edge better, and wanted to experiment with my other rocks to see which edge I like the best. So, I took it back to the 8k and then finished with 100 laps on my vintage Thuringian. In the end, it was another smooth shave, although I may prefer the coticule edge I had before. My experiment will continue though, as I take it back to the 8k and on to my nakayama next!
Because we're not all as lucky as LinacMan, I had to settle for the MdC soap, which was excellent. I was afraid I didn't load the brush enough, but then the lather started to explode on me! It has a great earthy lavender scent to it, and left my face feeling well hydrated. But the real icing on the cake is the Montale Cuir d'Arabie - what great juice! I was worried it was too leathery, but it has a depth that just speaks to me!
The week is starting off great, thanks for the SOTD pictures, gentlemen, and happy Monday!
