Well since my hair does not grow fast enough for me i brought 2 razors to try. The first is a Torrey frame back razor. I bought this razor yesterday at an antique store. Very shap. The second is Rex 50 stainless. This one i bought from ebay. Both did not need honing. I stropped the torrey 35/60 on SRD strop and the Rex 50 on the SRD strop. Both performed equally. I must say the rex felt different than the other stainless razors. It felt soft, smooth. Rather a confusing feeling. Its a light blade so it doesnt mow them away. But it does perform. BBS i did 3 passes because i was having so much fun.

    Have a great weekend!

    Srd strop
    Ogallala Bay rum
Torrey Frame back razor/ Rex 50 SS
    Thayers witch hazel
    Skin food

Allow me to echo what Bill already iterated...those are great looking blades, especially the Torrey . Yours looks with less width variation than mine, which is great. Enjoy your newly acquired toys

PS: have a nice and safe trip this weekend.

Thank you Robert and Bill. I was VERY impressed how sharp that Torrey is. I think im getting an interest in frame back razors.

Thank you Robert It will be nice to get away.

    Thanks,
    I have two Dewsnap... Ivory-scaled (it was a 7-day-set).
Very good razors, easy to hone.
