Sunday midday
Pre: Hot shower
Brush: Scheerzeep/Henk 21 mm silvertip
Razor: Klas Törnblom 11/16
Cream: Fitjar Camomilla
ASB: Geo Trumper Skinfood
AS: English Leather
Strop: Neil Miller
Result: Mr Clean
I got me a new razor , in Ebony wooden scales with acrylic MOP inlays (boy oboy, how sweet are these scales...). I was going for a long nice sunday shave, but somehow I managed to screw pre and post up, or at least go a little off. I used a little to much water w the cream, used a little to much ASB and I had to do one to many touch ups (three). Very, very clean now though.Last edited by Mikael; 10-03-2010 at 12:42 PM.

Another work day for me too...I am supporting the Army this weekend also...Makes for endless weeks when you work back to back...But, my "glass is half full" at least I am working when a lot of folks are not...It's a rough economy out there. So as Sunday treat I am breaking out the Twins:
Razor: Henkels 415
Creme:Proraso menthol
A/S: Ogallala

Week of October 3 SOTD - Sunday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Pre-Shave Oil: Almond Oil Razor: 6/8" J.R. Torrey Frameback Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger Überlather: CarrieM's Bay Rum Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Facial Moisturizer Cologne: Alt Innsbruck EDC Result: We are headed to Vegas today for a few days of R&R, meeting up with Max and sampling some great food, shows etc...So, in preparation for the trip, today's shave is with the the Torrey Frameback (the second razor I recently acquired...in fact, this is my first frameback). This thing had a good size chip at the heel...As a result, it got to know my Naniwa 1K pretty intimately. After working the chip out, the blade went through my routine honing regimen (e.g., Coti, Escher and JNat)...despite laying flat on the hone, I couldn't get the entire edge to pass the HHT...the heel and toe area were a bit duller. The shave was also a testament to this fact. I got a pretty good shave, but nothing I would call fabulous or BBS. I finished things off with my Merkur 39C. This blade is going with me to Vegas today (maybe I can entice Max to take a look at it and diagnose the problem). I must say that it is a rather nice looking blade. Despite this minor setback, I am happy with the result of today's shave.
Have an awesome Sunday gentlemen . Hopefully, I will have time to take SOTD shots and post while in Vegas.
