I wasn't planning on posting a SOTD, but when I broke out the Top Flight for a shave I had no idea it would end this good. So, I had to share it with everyone.
Razor: Top Flight 6/8
Soap: Klar Kabinett
Brush: Col Conk
AS: Clubman Bay Rum
ASB: Proraso cream
Oh, it was BBS too.

SOTD 10-3-2010
Prep: Hot shower
Strop: SRD Premium IV Bridle 25 webbing/50 leather
Brush: TGN custom silvertip in a cherry wood handle I turned
Scuttle: SRD
Uberlather: TGQ Black Cavendish, AOS Sandalwood cream, 4 drops glycerin
Razor: Wostenholm Pipe
Result: Wow! So close, so smooth, it's like I'm in a dream. The smell from the lather was intoxicating also. The black cavendish mixed with the sandalwood to form a sweet and sultry concoction of pure relaxation.
So I started to play around with photoshop, the scales in this pic have 1 small chip, but they are not chewed up as this pic makes it appear...I just can't draw a straight line with a mouse when editing
Enjoy your day!

Good morning Gentleman.
No these are no coconuts! I don't live in CA/ FL, but in Germany.
We'll fly to FL in november... there are enough palms.
These are conkers from a chestnut.
soap: Thiers Issard
brush: Muehle silvertip
razor: Charlex
AS: Old Spice
Have a nice day.

Monday morning
Pre: Hot shower
Razor: Kanirck
Brush: Ikon chubby 24 mm silvertip
Soap: Nannys Eucalyptus
AS: Dr Harris Sandalwood
Strop: Neil Miller
Result: Clean
Odd ball razor, I think it says "for sensible beard". Have to shave a cople of more times with it to decide, but it´s a fair enough blade, I think.

Yep, that was/is me when the girls were younger and I needed a shave!! The one on the left is the one in the cheering photo and the one on the right is the one we visited this weekend.
I was happy to be home last night. I am usually good with the travel and the weather in OKC this past week was wonderful.
Off today so I'll relax and go buy some sand paper and try my hand at polishing a razor.Last edited by Mvcrash; 10-04-2010 at 10:16 AM.

Monday Morning...
I usually post SOTD's featuring new razor acquisitions on Sunday, but I was away at a professional conference until yesterday. So here goes with yet another addition to my straight razor rotation.
Prep: Hot shower--followed by Robeson (mentholated) bay rum beard prep
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 “Super Badger”
SC: Penhaligon’s “Blenheim Bouquet”
Strop: No strop today…Razor shave ready
Razor: 5/8 Dovo “Fritz Bracht”
Astringent: Thayer’s Original Witch Hazel
ASB: Nivea for Men “Sensitive”
EDT: Penhaligon’s “Blenheim Bouquet”
Result: Wunderbar!
This "Fritz Bracht" Dovo, acquired on ebay from a barber's estate, is a sweet shaver--after I got it restored and honed. Combined with the Penhaligon's shaving cream it delivered one of the best shaves I've experienced in quite a while.Last edited by jhenry; 10-04-2010 at 12:05 PM.
