While practicing a scythe stroke with a straight yesterday, I gave myself a significant cut. Thus, the DE today. I forgot just how nice of a shave the DE can deliver.
    Have a great day, gentlemen!

    Default Sunday evening

    Pre: Sauna
    Razor: Mappin & Webb
    Brush: New Forest 2211
    Soap: Nannys LE Yushu
    Strop: Neil Miller
    Result: very clean
I had to work for this one, usually a walk in the park w this razor + I had a sauna, but I had my new New Forest silvertip and should have gone for a bowl alther instead of face lathering the first time. Love the brush, but I thought it would hold more water (what I heard) but of course I should have used/tested it more before going sharp. More about the new NF to come ...

Nice blade Rene! I don't know what it is, but if a blade has anything at all etched on it, I instantly love it! Have a great week.

Sure is! I love the smell, it´s a very competent AS and it gives a lovely AS sting (and if you been to rough w the blade it´s like fire, but with a delay. You actually have time to think "this is a very smoth AS, I don´t understand why people think it´s like puting out fire with casoline" before it hits ). One of mine top 5, easy.

    Cream: CarrieM's Black Raspberry vanilla
Razor: Dubl Duck Wonderedge quarter hollow in Blue/Green Paua Shell scales by Maximilian (hereafter referred to as Max).
    After Shave:Ogallala Sandalwood & Bayrum
Result: I got this razor early this week but wanted to save it until today so I could have time to really enjoy it. I had also saved the Black Raspberry vanilla cream as a first for today. I saw a razor in the SOTD some time ago that had blue paua shell scales by Max and I fell in love. Max was able to put this beauty together for me (very quickly too, thanks Max!). I can say that this razor shaves just as good as it looks. I couldn't even feel the blade cutting hair, Max puts an amazing edge on a blade and it is very polished. What an amazingly smooth shave. The sweet scent of the black raspberry cream, the effortless glide of the Dubl Duck, it was shave nirvana! 2 passes & BBS! This was another "Big Deal" razor for me. I've been wanting a razor done by Max since the first time I saw a SOTD post. Max's work is AMAZING and he is one heck of a nice guy. In case you couldn't tell, I'm a very satisfied customer! Thanks Max!

Have a great week gentlemen, you deserve it!
    sharp,
