Week of October 24 SOTD - Monday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Razor: 7/8" Filarmonica Doble Temple #13, Hollow, Spike Point Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip Badger Überlather: Tabac Shave Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Lavender, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer AS Splash: Tabac AS Lotion Result: I really enjoyed the Tabac today. Unbelievable lather + out of this world scent. I can't wait to get my Tabac creme and mix it with this soap [I can only imagine what the lather will look (and feel) like ]. The Filarmonica DT 13 was a great way to start the work week, IMO. No fuss, no mess...just a very satisfying smooth shave. But of course, I can't just leave a perfectly BBS face exposed to the harsh elements (especially to LA smog)...No sir! What better way than moisturize and seal the deal with Trumper's moisturizer + Tabac AS lotion? Now, I am ready for Monday.
Fabulous pictures so far gentlemen . Have an equally fabulous Monday.

Razor: 5/8 Tiger (Geneva) Wedge, Hollow Point
Pre-Shave: Hot Towel
Shaving Soap/Mug: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
Brush: Omega Boar
Astringent: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave/Cologne: Lustray Coachman ASL
Results: meh.
I didn't use the Proraso Per Shave Cream this morning because I was using MWF which is lanolin based so, I didn't think I needed it. Now on second thought, I think I should have used it. The razor dragged and felt sticky during the entire shave. (This razor has an awesome edge courtesy of Glen (gssixgun) so I know it's not the razor.) I also re-lathered with a wetter lather during the process so, it wasn't the lather either. I concluded that, I have become accustomed to the Proraso Pre-Shave Cream and without it I can definitely tell a noticeable difference.

Both? That is great. I hear a lot of praise about the SOC, but most settle for 830. I guess you'll be able to give me an unbiased opinion. I have gotten so accustomed (spoiled is more like it ) to my badger Silvertip soft tips...maybe that's why I am hesitating on pulling the trigger on this. The price points are certainly not problematic, IMO.
Thanks Rene
