Result: Haven't shaved for a couple of days so there was a bit of work to be done, but the Invicta never fails to please. Did 2 passes with my mountain of Uber-Lather and was left looking and feeling much better.
While I had the camera out the kids decided to all pile on daddyo. I was fortunate that my wife was close by and took this very special shot. This is Lilly, Jack and baby Mason Elvis. And thats not all... I have another daughter Jess who is not in the photo.

Happy Halloween and have a great week boys.

    Good looking family, Grant!

When I opened the box, I couldn't believe that it was the same razor (see upper right hand razor: http://straightrazorpalace.com/show-...ore-finds.html). These picture don't do justice to Max's handiwork. Three days' growth easily wiped away effortlessly and with style...

Bonus points to anyone who can identify the stylized wooden object in the photo and country of origin
    Welcome back Greg,
I bet it feels good to be back home...We missed you buddy . I hope your trip/mission was productive with (hopefully) some relaxing in between.

BTW: Great razor and Max' signature is all over it . Can't believe the before and after

My guess for that object is that it is a knife/saw of some sorts used in Africa for cutting meat (other things)

Gorgeous! Like a phoenix who has arisen from her own ashes, that Boker really looks like it can fly!

    Welcome back!

    Somewhere in Europe
    .

My Dad, after serving 10 years in the Navy, joined the Army when war broke out in Europe. He saw alot of action with the 110th Infantry Regiment on the beaches of Normandy, and in the Ardennes Forest. Some of the scars never healed completely.
He's gone 35 years, and I miss him and his counsel to this day... And I continue in my attempt to be half the man he was.
His grandson is kneeling in the photo to the right...
Thanks for sharing this awesome bit of history! My son & I are headed to Normandy this coming spring to see Omaha and Utah beaches and the war memorial.

Today I've been walking with the camera in hand through the valleys near Gipuzkoa

The palace-tower of Donamaria, it is a defensive building. It was restored because it was demolished in the XV century after the conquest of the Kingdom of Navarre by the Kingdom of Castile.

Red frog, endemic of the Atlantic forests of Spain, protected by law and rarely seen.

And yes, I have a shave this morning...

    Robert,

Actually I haven't left for Africa yet - just been busy getting ready to leave. No - the object is from somewhere far away from Africa. Hint: a former employee brought it back to me from a scuba diving trip of a lifetime.
