    (1) That's the BEST thing to do...practice blades.

    Enjoy your Coticule .

    Default Super Geneva!

    Razor: Geneva SS
    Cream: Speick
    Prep: Hot towel
    After: BodySource Cologne & AS

Meeting tomorrow so needed to shave tonight. 1 pass on the goatee area, 2 for the rest. Man this razor rules! You guys may get tired of seeing it, but I'll never get tired of using it! Feeling calm, relaxed, clean and glowy. Not a perfect shave, but it IS perfect just how it is...Who would have thought shaving could be so great!

    Default Wednesday morning

    Pre: Hot shower
    Brush: Bushmar, vintage badger
    Razor: Klas Törnblom
    Soap: Tabac
    AS: Tabac
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very clean
Today I decided to go back to my two passes only routine, I´m not getting an uberclean shave, but it´s a big time saver (on week days). Tabac is very nice, I almost regret giving my back up puck away .

I've always liked this blade, but never felt like it was quite up to snuff at the edge. So, this weekend, I took it to my BBW/Coticule combo stone. I'd never really played with this stone, but I decided to experiment. After confirming the bevel was still solid, I raised a moderate slurry on the BBW and did 40 light X-strokes then I cleaned the stone and blade and did 40 more light X-strokes on the BBW. Then I raised a slurry on the coticule side and started doing X-strokes. After every 20 strokes, I added a few drops of water. I repeated this for about 4 dilutions. Afterwards, I took 60 X-strokes with water only. After a strop - I was treated to one of the smoothest edges I've felt against my face!

After one pass, I had a DFS, after two passes, I was BBS all over! What a feeling to start off a Wednesday!

    Default SOTD 11-10-10

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Brush:TGN Custom Silvertip
Strop: SRD Premium IV English Bridle
    Scuttle: SRD
    Cream: Al's “Goodfellas”
    Razor: Kinfolk “The Ace”
    After shave: Master's Bayrum
    EDT: Perry Ellis Blue 360

Result: I used the distilled water again today and Al's cream exploded everywhere. I think the savings in the amount of cream needed to create lather will more than pay for the distilled water! A nice shave this morning with 2 passes (wtg, xtg).

Have a great day gentlemen, you deserve it!
