Thumbs up Sun November 07th - Sat November 13th

    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Dovo 55
    Brush: Simpson Chubby II
    Soap: SRD Bulgarian Rose
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Skin Food: GFT - Coral
Comments: SRD's Bulgarian Rose is the best glycerin based soap on my list. The smell and lather is just divine. Combined with the extra smooth, sharp properties of the Dovo 55, the end result was just phenomenal. GFT's Coral Skin to seal the deal and all was good. Big smile on my face. Great all around combo. Enjoy the week gents.
Request:The SOTD has seen an incredible growth in both participation of our members as being the daily chatterbox for our brotherhood. Thank you all for making the SOTD what it has become today. I and the rest of the team do have a request moving forward. Because the way we talk and interact with each other we have a tendency to respond to the same post by quoting the posted images and sometimes lengthy textual content over and over again. This makes loading the pages very slow and also makes for extended long pages with the same pictures and text showing up several times after each other. I hereby ask you when replying to a post to at least remove the image tag or images and if possible shorten the quoted text. I will post a sticky with a few examples for the uninitiated as to explain what to remove when quoting a post. It will help keep our SOTD tidy, organized, faster and easier to navigate. I will moderate this a bit in the early stages so we can make the SOTD even better. Thank you for your help and understanding.

Easy to do Max. You have some amazing razors. I'd love to see your collection!!

    Location: Coffs Harbour Australia (HOME)
    Prep: Hot Shower/Hot Towel
    Strop: MickR's Kangaroo
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Razor: Crown & Sword 6/8
A/S: Nivea Replenishing Post Shave Balm
I've come home for 2 days to mow the lawns, do a few things around the house, and do some restoration work.
Which means access to more razors and some hones.
This C&S was one of my early hone jobs and I've allways felt it wasnt living up to its potential. So with some more experience under my belt I took it to the hones today. I've got it dialled in now, gave me a sweet sharp and smooth shave off the coti. I'll give it a ride on the Thuri tomorrow, but I wanted to test it off the coticule first.
    Have a great week gentlemen

I have that same blade with the same problem. Not at its full potential. Great job on your honing.
