    Grant,
Wife and I will keep our fingers (and toes) crossed. Tell Jack his fan base in the US is growing and we're puling for him...

Yep, we're getting close now. On Tuesday the Professor will take a look at Jack's blood levels and If it looks good we will get the go ahead to go home.
I'm not holding my breath though, he needed a platelet transufsion a few days ago so may get delayed.
Thanks for thinking of us and as allways, beautiful shot today.
    Grant

    Just a head shave today.

    Razor: Torrey 6/8
    Cream: Speick
    After: Witchhazel/Nivea ASB

Results: 2 passes to smooth. Only 2 very small nicks. Always have some trouble getting behind my ears due to glasses, but got it all this time no problem.

Internet access was sporadic at best in Sudan so I couldn't post this pic until today.
I'm just flattered that you thought to include us in your journey and share it with us! Now that's commitment Great SOTD Greg!

Thats great. Thats my tough spot also. Takes a few passes.

I'd wondered that too - was it all in my head. This past week let me know it wasn't. There's one area immediately below the jawline to the right of my chin that I have trouble with using a straight, but that I've finally "licked". For the life of me, I couldn't get it with the Fusion no matter what I tried.

The other thing is how long the smooth lasts - with the Fusion it was maybe 2 hours at best (and I have light beard growth). With a straight it's well into the afternoon before I can feel anything.

Great photo Robert. The sailboat on the Trade Winds soap, coupled with Sailor's SOTD on the Gulf of Finland has got me itching to be near the sea.

    Brush: Vulfix "Grosvernor" Mixed B/B
Soap: Geo.F.Trumper COCONUT OIL Shaving Cream
Razor: Whippeddog's Shumate "Barber Deluxe" 5/8 + Gillette Slim Adj./Astra SP
    AS: Proraso balm

Trumper's cream is really wonderful....strong scent and really creamy. Got to grab a full size package.

    As for the SR shave:

    • Cheeks - DONE (WTG/ATG)
    • Mustache + Lips' area - DONE (WTG) () (just a small nick...alum block took care of it)
    • Neck - DONE (WTG) ()
    • Chin - .... .... .... managed to shave just the sides and the upper part

    Touch up with the Gillette.

I'm following the advices in Larry's PDF guide....such a treasure... all the newbies should read the "angle of the blade" chapter at least 10 times before each shave....
