MONDAY MORNING SHAVE
PREP: How shower with face scrub
RAZOR: Genco Goldseal JR.
BRUSH: PJ3
UBERLATHER: SUPERCREAM with CF limes, and Trumpers Limes.
ASTRINGENT: LUCIDO
ASB: Bath and Body Works 1702
EDT: Thierry Muglar "cologne"
RESULTS: ZEEEESSSSSTTTTTYYYYYYY!!!
I had an itch to do a restore yesterday, so Brought out the goldseal JR, and did a quick one. I kept the tang alone, because eventually i need to unpin it and do that whole part of the tang/ blade but , this thing turned out pretty decent considering Im still learning the restoring process . Honed her up last night and today was the test, would I have any irritation? Well Nope!! Everything about this shave was awesome, Blade glided through my only one day whiskers with ease and left no redness behind, the supercream i used has me smelling of fresh limes and it was an awesome supercream to use, the glide cushion everything. Its days like this that make me glad Im a man
AWESOME PICS GUYS !!!!! AS ALWAYS ENJOY THE DAY!!!!

In today's photo, my attempt was to capture the cold starkness of late fall, early winter in the Northeast U.S.
The metal handle of the old dubl-duck brush, the stone the Corneta was honed on this morning, the glass tabletop that in the summer held so much greenery and shade from the sun, now bare.... But, through it all, I love the bleakness that is winter...
Great shave today... The La Veinette is starting to work for me a bit, but still taking my first uncertain steps...

Another straight razor which had fallen from my rotation. This NOS Revisor (scales by Max) is not only nice to look at, but it is also a really nice shaver.Last edited by jhenry; 11-22-2010 at 06:27 PM.

Third day now with Straight Razor after setting DE's down.
My experience with a SR now has been nothing less than
Superior, Comfortable, Enjoyable, Amazing !!!
Irritation, Razor Burn, Discomfort, All a thing of the Past !!!
Best Shaving sense Starting with DE's several years ago.
Straight Razor Shaving is definitely Superior IMHO !!!

Amen brother ...well said
Bill,
You certainly did capture the "winter" feel...I can feel it in my bones.
Glad the Coti is starting to work out...it is a fabulous stone.
Thanks Jeff . Homage to Max' wonderful & magical restoration skills
That's one heck of a looker Monroe...Good choice and coupling it to the Thater was an excellent choice
It sure is...nothing compares to str8 shaving
Also, I really like that Koch razor that you restored. Nicely done
