Thank you Robert! Yeah, it was a prototype he tested and rejected, becuase it didn´t add anything preformance wise and I agree, even though I think it´s a very nice face lathering brush.

    Default New Toys

    Location: 32°2805N 93°5516W
    Music: Gerry Rafferty
    Prep: Nice long, hot shower
Preshave: Castle Forbes – The Pre-shave
    Strop: Illinois #206
    Scuttle: 1.5 Dirty Bird Scuttle
Soap: Castle Forbes – Lime Essential Oil Cream
Brush: New Forest High Mountain 2221
Razor: Wade & Butcher Hollow Ground
Balm: Castle Forbes – Lime Essential Oil Balm
After Shave: Dunhill – Cologne for Men
Result: Two passes + touch up = BBS face. I got my New Forest High Mountain 2221 courtesy of Peter; AWESOME brush, check out the bloom. I also got my rescaled Wade & Butcher from Max; beautiful work that equals the beauty of the blade and it’s shaving ability. All in all this was a wonderful shave and a great start to the day.

Fabulous shot and blade. They are amazing shavers despite their size.
PS: I love that brass (?) kettle
    Thanks Robert!
    PS:
This not brass, this is an original Japanese castiron teapot.

    Razor: 6/8 Japanese Kamisori
    Brush: AOS Badger Brush
    Cream: Proraso
    Aftershave: Proraso
    Scuttle: SRD Midnight Black

First shave with my new Kamisori - very nice shave, very intuitive. I don't know if these razors are designed for lefties, but there's a little divot cut into the handle that fits my thumb very well and works on the left hand but not the right. That's cool, though, because all of us smart good looken' people are lefties. It was like shaving butter on my face.

    Very enjoyable.

    Aura Glow
    Cella Shave Soap (cream?)
    New Forest #2201 Superior Badger
    Genco Master Barber Spike
    SRD Premium I Strop .. 30 Linen/60 Leather
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea AS Balm
    Pashana AS

One can spend alot of money on a straight razor and still get a shave no better than a Genco can consistently deliver... Sometimes I forget just how good this little Master Barber is..
Pashana AS captured my imagination about a year ago, and I waited all this time to try it. It arrived yesterday with some other goodies, and now I'm sorry I waited so long, but alas, it's the story of my life... A day late, and a dollar short..

The sexy little librarian watches over it all...

Great photos and shaves this week, gents!

Post Week of December 5 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 7/8" Novelty 1879, 1/4 Hollow, Spike Point
    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Überlather: Al Raz Custom Shave creme
Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: Dr. Hauschka's Rose Day Creme
    Cologne: Penhaligon Quercus
Result: TERRRRRRRR-IFIC !!!! What a shave today. The scent of Al Raz' custom bomb was amazing. And the lather out of this world. I don't get this blade though ...the more she gets used, the sharper she seems to get (without stones). She doesn't "lose her edge" so to speak. Unreal...maybe this thing is not a carbon/steel blade after all...perhaps she is made up of some "smart" nanomaterial (e.g., next generation carbon nanotube) of the future with a self sharpening edge. Regardless, I was BBS in 3 passes, felling refreshed and rejuvenated. Ahhhhhh...Some Dr. Hauschka to help rebuild skin cells (the 0.5 mls of cells that we lose every time we shave ) and heal the skin and some Penhaligon for scent and I am ready for this Tuesday.
