It's only Tuesday and the SOTD so far has been PHENOMENAL. As always we have to thank each and every one of use for making this our SOTD. I've also seen an improvement by many in the quoting to keep everything tidy and easy to read, Remember, the less is better. Just a few still need to catch on and learn but it's already much better as before. Thanks brothers.

    Hi guys,
Sitting in my meeting, Day 2 (and probably another long one) and decided to just quickly poke my head in and say hello. I miss reading your posts and have only had a chance to have a very (very) quick glance at the SOTDs and seems like I have missed quite a few great posts . Thank you Glenn and Rene for you kind words .

Will be back in the realm of the living soon. Hopefully Friday

If we buy a small NAS or SANS for the server, can we go back to the old way? I doubt bandwidth is an issue unless we all decide to post exactly at the same time.

Also, if you really need to save storage space, don't allow up-loads to the server. Insist everyone use a photobucket type service and simply link to the photo.

(I really don't see how storage can be an issue at this point, but who knows.)

    Jeff,

it has nothing to do with bandwidth or storage. It has to do with keeping the SOTD tidy and easy to read. Quoting a dozen times the same thing is useless and makes for very long threads and pages until the next fresh post shows up.

    again- my idea:
    No "quote" but
    page #/ post# e.g.

    9/#78

    What do you think about?
