Those things do sound amazing
Another fantastic one José
Those scales are among some of the most artistic ones I have seen Chris. Beautiful blade
Glenn,
Glad you are on your way to feeling 100%. You cannot ring in the new year with that bug hanging in your system. Man...I heard about those tornadoes on the news today. if memory serves, some folks in AK weren't so lucky
I see you are working the Asagi into your regimen...how is she behaving?
That Mama Bear's Romance you have, is that the same as "Amber Romance"? if so, it does smell great.
Joe,
You certainly know how to make an entrance. Great gear for both days. Loving the Crookes. Looking forward to hearing on how she shaves.
Mark,
Beautiful Friodur...and look at the bloom on that Shavemac
Beautiful Teiste
Monroe,
Beautiful blade and finish...Have fun and see you next year.
Thank you Glenn. Arrowhead is a very serene place to visit and only 2 hrs away from LA
Very nice razor
Thanks Grant. Have fun at the beach
Frank,
What a way to finish 2010.

Happy New Year! Thank you! I really tried, but couldn´t see it and I pride myself to have a dirty mind, lol.
And may the force be with you Tom (nice blade!) and Everyone else too. Thank you for all the nice comments and I´m impressed by the staminia many have here - taking lovely pictures + being so nice and taking the time to give positive feedback. You all:

Thanked: 1072New Years Day
Location: Coffs Harbour AustraliaHappy New Year Boys. Thanks for all the great posts and pics
Strop: Illinois 835
Brush: Comoy Badger
Cream: Tabac
Razor: Royal Invicta 6/8 (E.M. Dickinson, Sheffield)
A/S Balm: Nivea Replenishing Post Shave
A/S: Old Spice
This was my first ever shave ready razor, my first restoration and my first set of scales. I like to think I've come a long way since then but I am very sentimental about this one.
Result: I finally tried the Tabac cream and really enjoyed its old school kind of smell. I'm also liking the new bottle of Old Spice, Its a real wake up call for the face. An enjoyable shave, but I'm going to have to take the Invicta for a touchup to get it were it needs to be. Its just starting to pull a little.

Thanked: 1072As most of you know 2010 has been a tough year for my family and I. On the first day of the New Year, I just wanted to say thank you for your support. Thank you to all the guys and their families who have generously given gifts to Jack, myself, and donated to charities such as the Leukaemia Foundation and Ronald McDonald House. You are true gentlemen.
I started posting SOTD’s while I was living in Ronald McDonald House because I was away from home and my tools. I was frustrated by not being able to do my restoration work and SOTD gave me something razor related to occupy myself, as well as to temporarily distract me from what was going on with Jack.
However it was that sense of brotherhood that kept me coming back. So THANK YOU to everyone involved in Shave Of The Day, for making it feel like such a family here and making 2010 a little easier for me.

First day on 2011
Pre: Hot shower
Brush: Henk silvertip
Razor: C V Heljestrand + Eterna
Cream: Arko
AS Cologne: Gibbs
Strop: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean
Wow, result! This blade is sharp, prob 5 on a 1-5 scale. After stroping, a hair splits where ever you tap it on the edge . I barley feel a difference when going ATG . I think I´ve found the most aggresive DE razor on the planet, an old Swedish brand by the name Eterna. Second time I shaved my head with it and it´s almost like holding the blade (Shark) without a razor .
Grant: All the best to you and your family and especially to little Jack!! May 2011 be a blessed year for Jack and your family!!!Last edited by Mikael; 01-01-2011 at 01:17 PM.
