Thanks Robert! The Crookes has a Sham edge and it is the first time I've got to experience one of his edges. This baby is one smooth shaver and I was nearly BBS after 2 passes, which is out of the norm.
Definitely has become one of my favorites (as well as the MK 32). I just need to slightly tighten the pivot pins as the blade was moving too much during stropping.

Great way to start the new year maestro
Fonti,
I love that box (and thanks for the link to the site)
Fabulous gear for a fabulous start to the first day of the new year
Fantastic Grant. Take that baby to the hones and watch her shine. Glad you enjoy Tabac...Do you have the soap? if not, I think that's even better than the creme.
Grant,
As you have probably guessed, this forum has evolved to be more than just a place where we share pictures...it is a family affair. In some ways, little Jack (and your family) has become an integral part of our lives and families. There is not a day that my nephews and niece don't ask about the little guy.
Having said that, I adamantly hope (and pray) that the challenge of 2010 is nothing more than a distant memory and 2011 proves to be a healthy one for you all.
Wowww Mikael,
Fantastic way to start day of of 2011. Way to go maestro. I love that frameback.
I love that razor. Got one just like it and it is an amazing shavers with heft and balance.
Excellent post Mark and happy new year.
Just hop on over to LA and you and I can hang out in some warm(er) weather. It's an open invitation buddy...anytime you feel sick of where you are, just catch a plane and come on over...you always will have a "home away from home" and a place to stay
Enjoy them my friend. These blades seem to have found a great place to call home
Love the color on those scales Chris. Very nice.

Prep:Hot Shower
Brush:H.L.Thater 23mm
Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle 50 laps
Scuttle: SRD
Cream: Bay & Vetiver Bomb
Razor: Livi 6/8
After shave: Al's Bay & Vetiver ASB
EDT: Burberry Weekend
Result: I touched up the Livi on a Swati barber's hone, stropped her on some Cx, and then onto the SRD English Bridle. That was just what the doctor ordered! The H.L. Thater brush came in the mail yesterday (the wife got me a gift certificate to SRD for Christmas) and I was excited to lather with it today. The brush did an excellent job making lather and felt great on the face. 3 passes and BBS. Happy New Year Gentlemen!

WOW Frank, love that blade!
Very clever design Welcome to the SOTD
That Boker has a nice classic look to it.
Yeah I think they said the death toll was 3, an area about 10 minutes from my office was hit by an f3 or f4 tornado (preliminary report).
The Asagi is a very interesting stone! It provides a smooth, yet VERY sharp edge with just water. I'm still playing around with slurry on it.
The Mama Bear's Romance is like the Ralph Lauren Romance Silver, I like it.
That's a fantastic Wostenholm Fonti!
Grant that blade is wonderful (1st attempt or 1000th attempt, she's a beauty!). Keep up the Fabulous job
Grant, that was very well said. Happy New Year Brother!
Nice Mikael
Glad to see Yoda with us in 2011, Happy New Year!
Very nice Iwasaki
Excellent Mark!
Great lighting and the scales are phenomenal!
I love 1/4 hollows, well don Maestro :
+1 Well said Robert & Jeff.
