Nice razor...Is is the grind or the spine that's uneven? How did you hone it up?

I toke my time today and had an extra pass and it payed off . I wonder why Simpson didn´t make the Chubby with a slightly longer handle? I do get it, it´s a chubby, but it still would be a chubby if it had +2 cm on the handle. It´s still my favourite brush though
Nice brush and razor Mikael. I have the exact brush, but don't mind the handle length. Takes a bit of getting used to. I guess that's why they have the other brushes (Polo, PJ, etc...with longer handles)...but, I agree with you: the Chubby's my favorite "Type" too.

Post Week of January 2 SOTD - Sunday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 7/8" Henckels Friodur #17 Stainless Steel INOX, Full Hollow, Spike Point
    Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip
Überlather: Floris "JF" Shave Creme + Floris "JF" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    Cologne: Alt Innsbruck EdC
Results: It had been awhile since I had used this wonderful blade. A few minutes on the Escher last night and she was ready to perform. And perform, she did. With the cushion provided by the Floris SS/SC combo, this blade had a field day with the second set of stubble in 2011. Touch down...BBS all over . And to seal the deal, a little Alt Innsbruck/Trumper mix was used to finish this beautiful shave.

I know, I know. I am still in Christmas mode (as evident from my picture). Decorations are still up and won't come down until after the 6th, which is when we Armenians celebrate Christmas. Historically, all Christian churches celebrated Christ's birth on January 6th until the fourth century. The date was changed from January 6th to December 25th in order to override a pagan feast dedicated to the birth of the Sun which was celebrated on December 25th.

    Have a FABULOUS Sunday guys.

Thought it'd be a neat way to begin the new year with a week's worth of shaves using only the soaps, creams, aftershaves & colognes I'm able to obtain locally! Haven't used Williams in a while and I was impressed at the great shave I got from it! Definitely not the best soap in the world but it's adequate.

    Great pics gentlemen!

Fabulous Monroe . You are ready to continue the new year party.

PS: How does Tabac and CF Lime mix (as far as scents)?

Thank you Monroe. I kind miss that "icebox" though. We don't get snow in LA, so it's always nice to get away and feel the seasons (if you know what I mean).

Here's a picture my wife took from the car while driving to Lake Arrowhead. Sorry...not too focused as the car was moving. Putting the chains on bare hands in 18ºF was not fun.
