Default First time shaving someone else!

Well this was my first time shaving someone else. First let me give you a little background info.
4 Weeks ago my friend found some bumps on his upper body. After 2 weeks they hurt so much he went to the Hospital. which did a few test but never a biopsy. As of last Thursday his lower jaw was numb and woke up and his left eye was blury. They checked his eye with a light and sent him home. By monday he woke up no feeling in his legs. Went back again and they said his body was probably hyperventilating and sent him home. He finally went to the ER i told him to go. Within 5 hours of them seeing him they did 2 MRI and rushed him to Opperate on his spine.

So visiting him he was looking scruffy. I know how i feel when i havent shaved. So i offered and he agreed. He is unable to shave himself. So i brought everthing i needed. Let me say it was not easy. Leaning over a bed. He is not able to move his head as easily as us. So streatching the skin and doing the neck was quite difficult!

    Tony Miller strop
    Vestavia Brush
    Joseph Smith & Sons
    CF Lime
    Witch hazel
    Skin food
    TAOS Balm
    Vetyver

He was very happy to smell better! LOL!

That is a sad story, but I commend you for being such a good friend. Excellent job and thank you for sharing!

John puts a mean edge on any blade. I am certain once you get it honed up, she will not disappoint

I will give it a few more goes before I render final judgment, but for now I'm appreciating some other products much more...

The ASB, on the other hand, is quite nice!
Sorry to hear that the Cade didn't live up to your standards. The soap/creme performs marvelously in my hands (very thick, and moisturizing, both before and after the shave and doesn't dry between passes). But, as they say: YMMV. The beautiful thing about shaving is that we have tons of options. If one thing doesn't work out, there's always another. The Cade ASB is very very good indeed.

Result: A little dissapointing actually. I just gave this one a touch-up as it was pulling a little and under 50x magnification there were a few micro chips. I was finishing it on the C12k and was getting a LOT of suction between blade and stone. I think I did a couple of bad strokes there. Anyway it was getting late and I thought I'd just give it a try as is. No good, I'll take it back to the hones and maybe finish on the Thuri this time. I took the pic before the shave so here it is.
    Have a great day boys.
    Grant
Beautiful...no, gorgeous blade Grant. You want to talk class...this is class my friend.

Make sure that those µ-chips are taken care of on the 1k or so before going to 12K/Thuri.

Fabulous Toni. That's a gorgeous W&B. I don't blame you for noticeably liking each of your subsequent shaves with her.

Went to the Nakayama last night with the FON and I was rewarded this morning with an excellent edge. Excellent shave.
I love that blade Frank. I am surprised that she had to visit the hones this soon? How do you like the Guerlain V.?

And this is EXACTLY what makes you such a special friend and a rare breed of Man. Your kind is rare my friend and it is with pleasure and pride that I call you a friend. My hat's off to you for doing this...not everyone would have been up to the task.
