There you go. I have to confess though, the scales are modeled on some of Buddel's work. He does fantastic designs

    Rene,
What a moving story. First, I hope your friend recovers well and quickly. I will keep him in my thoughts. Second, this speaks volumes of your character. A small act carries such tremendous impact! I am proud to be able to call you a friend. Third, I commend your choice of hardware/software for this most important task. Excellent choices all around, and what a way to remind him he is a man than to finish off a straight shave with some vetiver! BRAVO!

Well this is the first shave of the day to post in the new year

    My set up;

    Razor : Dubl Duck
    Soap : SRD Lime
Astringent : Alum + Witch Hazel
ASB : GFT Limes Skin Food
    Brush : Artamis

Well just before christmas I got the scuttle you see from steven at Studio Pottery, good guy, great scuttle and I intend to be ordering me a custom scuttle from hime soon for my bigger brushes

So I, knowing that I had today off, sat last night with my 12K and refreshed the edge on the dubl duck (it had needed it for a bit) and just to make sure it was ok I had a quick shave

Well today I got up, knowing my razor was back to it's good ole self, I had a long hot shower, I even lathered up in the shower and let it sit a while, then I came out and took my lovely warm scuttle and built up a lather, then I replaced the hot water in the scuttl with very hot water and began my shave.

Now I did something different today, usually I go up on my neck first ans it appears to me thats the growth direction, however i've been gettinga sore neck and ingrowns, so I decided reverse order was up for a try (this was a success).

Well I finished my shave with the ceremonial three passes, and my result was an awesome shave maybe one of my best so far

Also I never knew just how good hot scuttle lather could be.

    Default Saturday

    Pre: Hot shower
    Brush: Ronney Victorian
Razors: John Nesbit´s, hand forged in Sheffield + Swedish DE Eterna for head
Soap: Nannys Ice and a Slice
    AS+EDT: Pacco Rabanne Ultraviolet
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean face
The head is very clean too, but this DE razor is AGRESSIVE - 5 or 6 nicks and after the first three I started to do some searious stretching of the skin, still got a couple of more nicks These Gilette blades are to sharp for this one, Sharks works, still very agressive, but I didn´t get any nicks from them. Fantastic shave with the Nesbit though, very nice blade and Nannys soap was spot on combined with the Ronney and face lathering!
