    Tom,
Great shave with a great blade...and a great moisturizing product for cold mornings.

    Arild,
Beautiful "shoulderless" blade...The scales remind me of Glen's (aka Gssixgun) work, but I could be wrong.

Every 4 years or so I move down for a year or two and then go back to the old formula of work 3 months - travel 1 month, work 3 months - travel 1 month.. I love that formula...It's an ideal work schedule (In some ways, I wish I could do this). Enjoy it maestro and it's nice to see your post

Got some lather funk today, should have used another brush for this cream (first time I used it), love the scent though and it worked fine in the end, but it took a while to get there.

    Mikael,
Great blade, great brush, and great creme...it does smell (and perform) great. It is from the makers of Tabac (i.e., Mäurer & Wirtz)

Post Week of January 9 SOTD - Thursday

    The Italian Job (Almost)

    Cast of Characters
    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Razor: 6/8" Maestro Livi (New Grind), Hollow, Round Point
Strop: 55/65 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Superlather: Acqua Di Parma "Colonia" Shave Creme + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
Cologne: Acqua Di Parma Colonia EdC
    ********************
    Synopsis:
Today was an all Italian (well almost) affair. I recently got myself a AdP Colonia EdC, and decided to bring the AdP out of the fridge (had not used it in a long time...typical downfall of having too many soap/creme choices) and reunite the family for an Italian shave. The Shavemac does not fit the bill, but hey, I didn't want to spend $340+ for an AdP brush (they are beautifully designed though)...We can't have it all, right ? Anyhoo, back to the shave. A pea sized amount of the AdP creme provided for a nice, thick and moist lather that smelled wonderful. The Livi was an absolute joy to use...sharp and smooth as the first day I bought her. I bet it'll be some time before this baby gets introduced to any of my stones. Super clean shave. The Floid AS and the AdP Colonia EdC were a great finish for this (almost) all Italian affair.

    Have a SPECTACULAR Thursday gentlemen.

Nice kit, Maestro! AdP used to be my daily driver SC. I may have to get another tub, because it is so nice. You should try their ASB as well--very good stuff and it pairs well with the Colonia (although I prefer the Assoluta)!

I like this scales, the grain is galactic.
    Congrats, Robert.

In this moment I ordered a new Thiers Issard with barbers notch (from Martin Nienberg).

My Complements on all the fine posts here! Great job

I think I have posted all of my bone wedge daily rotation with this one. The CMon wedge has always seemed as a precision instrument to me.
A super nice and smoooth shave this morning with it! Thanks!
