Tried something a little different today
    DE on Head and Face
    Razor is a Schick Krona
Brush is Omega Boar Pro 49
Shave Soap is Benton Clay, Lavender
mixed with 3 drops Hot Six Oil
After Shave Lotion is Pinaud Clubman

    Face Shave was great
    Catfish Belly Smooth !
    Head shave was great
    except three little nicks
    that the Clubman closed up
    over all though, smooth as
a peeled hard boiled egg !

Will try a Straight on my head
    before the week is over.

This is just a big, thick heavy razor. Almost effortless BBS shaves every time though, and today was certainly no exception. Second day in a row I've been home sick. I still can't decide whether I'm freezing or burning up with fever but it seems to run in cycles. My body feels like I've been beat with a baseball bat. Good job I got that flu shot. Worked like a charm...NOT. Well, at least the shave inserted some normalcy into my day. If nothing else I can med up and lay in bed and facerbate.

Blugill, good luck with straight shaving the spud. It can be done but it is painfully slow and for me at least very nerve racking.

Post Week of January 30 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 26mm "Chubby #2", 3-band, Super Badger
Razor: 7/8" Akamatsu "Manaslu M-55, Ltd. Ed", Full Hollow, Spike Point
Strop: 55/65 (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Black Jack "Unscented" Shave Creme + D.R. Harris "Arlington" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: D.R. Harris "Arlington" After Shave Milk
After Shave Splash: D.R. Harris "Arlington" After Shave
Results: Yet another great performance with another Japanese straight, i.e., the Manaslu. This is the 4th day in a row with a Japanese straight. The shave with this beauty is nothing short of fantastic. The D.R. Harris "Arlington" line of software was equally fabulous...the scent is not something I am too crazy about (not bad, but I prefer the Marlborough or Lavender), but the performance is like many of my English triple milled, tallow-based soaps...EXCELLENT!!!!! Ready for this great (and beautiful) Wednesday.

To those of you that are stuck in ice, snow or otherwise miserable weather conditions, please do stay safe. Or better yet, move to California.

Lovely and inspirational SOTDs gentlemen. Have a FANTASTIC Wednesday.

I here ya on that, it was hard enough to go from my HeadBlade to the DE, but I think I'll give it a try and see what happens, probably end up going back to my trusty HeadBlade for the spud, I'll just have to wait n see ! Hope you get to feeling better soon ! Doc told me to drink 3 PBR's and take a codone upon waking every day till better ! LOL !!! get well soon
