Default Yep, Baldy's got a DE

    Location: Coffs Harbour Australia
Soap: Proraso Aloe & Green Tea
    Razor: Laurel with Feather Blade
A/S Balm: Nivea Replenishing Post Shave
    A/S: Old Spice
I was cruising ebay last week looking for straights and ended up buying this DE for 10 bucks. It's made in Sheffield and cleaned up nicely.
I've never even held a DE before this, and to be honest, for a guy who could probably give himself a straight razor shave blindfolded, I was strangely very nervous about this shave.
Result: 2 passes, not quite BBS yet but very smooth and no irritation. I was amazed how easy this thing was to use, fun too.
Thanks for all the posts and pics guys,
    Grant

Thank you, Rene. The DD SatinWedge is very nice. Generally, speaking, I'm not a wedge fan, and prefer a large (6/8-7/8) blade size. Despite these preferences, it is probably my favorite wedge so far, despite its small size.

Kind of a special shave for me today for 3 reasons:
    1. I took my new Heljestrand for a ride
    2. It is my first non hollow razor
    3. I shaved off my chinbeard I had for 2 years

    Preshave: Lush Ambrosia
Lather: De Vergulde Hand soap, Palmolive cream, glycerine
    Razor: C.V. Heljestrand No. 23 "K&B Extra"(more pictures here)
Aftershave: Alum followed by homemade Bay-Rum

Result: clean shaven almost no stubble, cold chin and a little irritation on the neck(I always get that). The alum hurt like hell, possibly because the wedge doesn't give me a lot of feedback. So practice practice practice up ahead.
