Week of January 30 SOTD - Thursday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 26mm Saville Row, Silvertip Badger Razor: 6/8" Hanamasa Kamisori, Spike Point Strop: 40/50 (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather) Überlather: Trumper's "Violet" Shave Creme + Trumper's "Rose" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: D.R. Harris After Shave Milk After Shave Splash: D.R. Harris "Pink" After Shave Results: And on the fifth day of SOTD, the Kamisori was the way to go. She is incredibly sharp and unforgiving, but I have figured this blade out. I love my Saville Row brush...With a hefty 26mm knot and a towering ~57mm loft size, she whipped up one of the best lathers this side of the Mississippi. And her tips....soft as silk. Amazingly smooth and BBS shave for this Thursday.

Fantastic SOTDs gentlemen. Have a GREAT Thursday.

Thank you Mark
...and a nice SOTD yourself my friend. Always enjoy seeing your Focus
The Kamisori is a whole different animal...a bit different than regular straights, but just as much fun. You would enjoy it...
FYI: You have to watch out for the tip though. This particular brand has one of the meanest tips around. Most people that have them mute the tip...I actually like it as is. I never had a nick using any of my square tips, but this one gave me a nice nick when I first used her.

Fbones24 -- I agree, perfect for the cold today. RE: Serge Lutens Vetiver Oriental, I see where you replied to Nicknbleeding answering my same question I was going to ask; it sounds interesting... I may have to sniff that one the next time I go to the big city of Dallas... problem is I already have another scent of his I want and I think SWMBO has one in mind too so I may have to wait to fulfill that AD desire.
Stroker -- thank you, got them years ago as part of a game... Sickenger Wurfel at our (then) neighborhood castles party.
No shave today, feeling under the weather a bit. Good luck to everyone fighting this darn freeze / snowstorm / icestorm; be safe and warm.

My first "wet" SOTD pic
Trying to capture here the meringue-like lather that only a good soap can produce. Not sure that the pic shows just how thick this lather is. Today was a bog standard shave with the Monsavon, but irritation-free, very smooth and very clean and fresh. Can't believe I thought of selling this Filly!
