Pre: Hot shower
Brush: Rooney Victorian
Razor: C V Heljestrand
Soap: MWF
AS: Floid
Strops: Neil Miller

Before shaves I often think "this cheap Floid really can´t be a must in my rotation", but it has a lovely refreshing effect and works very nicely together with MWF

Clothes swap
Shave soap: KD Creations Black Raspberry Vanilla
Shave cream: KD Creations Black Raspberry Vanilla
Brush: shavemac Best Badger
Razor: Roberson's Best
This razor is one of my first antique store finds. Despite the over honed toe she gives a great shave, and I'm always happy when she comes up in my rotation. Glen (gssixguns) swapped her old ugly plain black celluliod scales for these vintage ornate scales taken from another Roberson's whose blade unfortunately was past salvaging. Despite a crack near the pin holes, he managed to pull it off. Thanks Glen!
Hope4Sudan is the group that I went with to southern Sudan last March & November.

Alum Block Preshave (just playing around with it)
Fat Handle Tech
Handstropped blade on shave #6
VDH Boar
TSD English Fern
Alum Block/Witch Hazel (wow! talk about tightening up the skin!)
Crusellas Colonia 1800 Vetiver
Just received the alum block from WillN so I'll be playing with it throughout the week. So far I'm totally digging it. Seems to work for a preshave too. I sure couldn't tell this was the 6th shave for this blade as I've been stropping it on my hand (30 laps on each side) before each shave. Razor worked great and rendered a BBS shave in just two passes. The alum block with a witch hazel rinse made a wonderful, skin tightening after shave. The Crusellas Vetiver was a really nice finish too. Have a great Saturday everyone! The older I get, the better I was

Outstanding; mild and smooth!
The Gillette Tech is an extremely mild razor and is generally passed over for a more exotic tonsorial device however, this morning I used a Feather blade in this little friend. (I used one of these a half century ago when I joined the U.S. Navy. It was given to me by my Uncle (Sam)) lol The Feather blade turned this mild little razor into a great shaver producing a close and mild shave with only two passes; the third only required for some missed areas. It is a pleasure to use these vintage razors as each of them have their own "personality" and perform differently depending on the selection of the blades used in them. This mornings shave was not only a pleasant shaving experience but also a nostalgic walk back to my days as a young sailor. Great shaves shown by all this morning Gentlemen!

Prep:Hot Towell
Brush: 24mm Custom in Cherry (time to clean & oil the top again)
Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Cream: Vetiver & Bay Bomb
Razor: Vintage Old Style 3 piece Gillette DE (cleaned it up earlier in the week) Wilkinson Sword blade
After shave: Alt Innsbrook
EDT: Cartier Roadster
Result: After all the spectacular DE shaves that all of you gentlemen have been posting, today I had my first ever DE shave (Grant, after I saw your 1st DE shave, it pushed me over the edge to clean this razor up as it's been on my bench for almost 6 months). I was amazed how easy these things are to use. No nicks, cuts, or irritation in 2 passes and quite smooth. I'll be packing this one in the carry on without blades for travel in case my checked bag with my straight is delayed or lost.
Have a great Saturday Gentlemen!
