11/16 C. V. Heljestrand, Full Hollow, Spike Point
Proraso Pre-Shave Cream
Cyril R. Salter Wild Rose Shave Cream
Medium Badger
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Nivea Replenishing ASB
Aqua Velva Musk ASL/EDC
A Tonsorial Delight!
The Heljie delivered a two pass squeaky clean shave this morning after the re-hone of yesterday. The edge seemed very crisp but not irritating in any way. I hope the other five blades are as good as this one turned out. The Salter Wild Rose and AV Musk work very well together to provide a delightful scent to top off a very pleasant experience.

Thanks Tom. BTW: Nice "Junkyard Dawg" and miniature lab. Sorry about the weather, but be safe my friend
Thanks Moonbeam...I much appreciate it .
This particular frameback was a PITA to hone for awhile, until Max gave me some pointers, which after implementation worked out great. The spine on this beauty is very (and I mean very slightly) bent...but enough that she doesn't sit perfectly flat on the stones. So, needless to say, I could get the toe/middle sharp, but not the heel or heel/middle but missed the toe. It was a PITA. Now, it works...with some rolling X-strokes (or whatever we call it) and a few angled attacks, I have the entire edge sharp and smooth. Was a FANTASTIC learning experience...All thanks to Max for 30 seconds of valuable pointers
Thank you Mikael. Loved your Thomas Turner (and your new scuttle) . Enjoy it in good health my friend
